Fall Interact Conference Set for October 15 in Roswell

The Fall Interact Conference will take place Sunday, Oct 15th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Elkins Pointe Middle School, 11290 Elkins Rd, Roswell, GA 30076. There is no cost for the event and lunch will be provided to all who register by Thursday, October 13 (earlier registration appreciated).

The event features a keynote presentation by PDG Alicia Michael, the President of the Rotarians for Family Health and AIDS Prevention, and four break-out sessions (participants can attend two):

  • Be the Voice – Excited about the growth BTV is experiencing, Debbie Cwalina will show you the program and some examples about introducing it to your school.
  • Human Trafficking/SHINE THE LIGHT – A survivor of human trafficking Dorsey Jones will talk with the students about what to do if someone tries to lured you into a dangerous situation.Bob MacDonald will showcase how John’s Creek Rotary is Shining a Light on Human Trafficking.
  • H2O Water Quality – Rodney Finkley with the Redan HS Interact Club will showcase their club’s commitment to water quality at Redan, DeKalb County and Bali.
  • Opioid Rotary Task Force – In its infancy, the ORTF will talk a little and listen a lot to the students about the opioid crisis hitting North Georgia and how help can arrive.

Participants can also join in the BTV Color Run at the same location - starting immediately after the Interact Conference.

-Clubs set up their table-top poster displays of Best Practices

10:20 – Welcome and Club Introductions at Table Top Exhibits

11:00 – Break- out Session #1

11:30 – Break – out Session #2

12:00 – Lunch buffet

12:15 – Key-note speaker – Mrs Alicia Michael, President - Rotarians for Family Health and AIDS Prevention, Inc. ... Former Rotary District 6900 Governor Alicia Michael sold her business, The Carrollton Collision Center, in January 2016 after 14 years of ownership.We are proud to see how she has made the business of serving her new passion by becoming the President of the Rotarians for Family Health and AIDS Prevention, Inc.
